"Never live west of where you work". This advice was
given to me by a motorcycling friend, about the time I bought my first
bike. The reason for his advice, of course, is that you end up
riding into the sun on the way to work in the morning, and on the way home
in the evening. Fighting sunlight has been a constant battle ever
since, involving either changing face shields depending on the time of
day, or wearing sunglasses. No matter what I tried, I ran into
situations where the reduced vision caused me problems when I turned to
put my back to the sun, or drove into a tunnel, or as the sun began to
set.
I
have no excuse as to why it took me so many years of riding to find
this product. The Helmet SunBlocker really works! The
Sun Blocker is a UV-blocking dark green strip that adheres to the inside
of your face shield, above your line of sight. It shades your eyes
from sunlight, but lets you see ahead (and down, toward your instruments)
unhindered. The SunBlocker installs quickly with a bit of soapy
water, and stays put until you decide to remove it. You can ride day
or night without having to change shields.
The Helmet SunBlocker comes in two versions: Universal, for most
full-face or 3/4 helmets, and an Arai version with cutouts for the Arai
brow vents.
