One
of the primary benefits of auxiliary driving lights on a motorcycle
is conspicuity - making yourself more visible to other drivers.
Motolights are a very popular lighting system, largely because the
low mounting location creates a large "light triangle", making you
more visible to other traffic - day or night.Motolights are manufactured to very high quality standards. The light housings are cast from 356-T6 aluminum, and are mated with 35-watt MR16 lamps with an 8-degree spread. Other wattages and patterns are available in MR16 lamps, so you can customize the lights to fit the type of light coverage you want. Mounting hardware consists of machined 6061-T6 aluminum brackets for the Fender or Caliper mounts, and 12.9-grade bolts. Slider mounts come with stainless steel straps. Proper Fitting of MotolightsMotolights are available with a variety of mounting plates, spacers, and hardware depending on the configuration of the caliper, fender, and/or fork sliders on your bike. We have a very extensive fitment chart in our office, and usually can provide exactly what you need based on the year, make, and model bike you have. Occasionally we will send a couple of different lengths of screws if your bike is "between" sizes, or we might contact you and ask for further information (measurements, digital photos) to ensure a perfect fit. Motolights include a wiring harness with fuse and relay, and a remote
toggle switch that can be mounted in any convenient location. They
are also compatible with the Autoswitch product that lets you use your
high beam flasher (or BMW turn signal cancel button) to activate your
lights.
MotoLights can be mounted in one of three ways - Caliper, Fender, or Slider. Choose the appropriate
method based on how the front of your bike is designed.
